After updating our hardware with the funkwerk packetalarm 110 and funkwerk packetalarm 260 appliances, we are able to inform you today about the new and now available packetalarm software release 4.98.0.

In sum, release 4.98.0 contains:

- update of the operating system and middleware components
- extension of the OPA interface (Open PacketAlarm Architecture)
- new pass policy added to IDS/IPS policies
- etc.

The Linux operation system and the used middleware components (e.g. database, web server ….) have been updated.

The OPA interface has been extended with features to download HTTPS client backups, log exports and firewall logs from the packetalarm system.

The pass policy allows you to define combinations of source IP, target IP and rule that will be excluded from detection. This enables you to specify undesirable events at the sensor.
